Lost Love
A broken heart cuts you deep
Some just wish they could sleep
Some never make a peep
They hurt so much
Wishing they could have one last touch
Without their lost love
They render themselves distant
Everyone knows that within an instant
They could end their lives
With just a mere knife
They believe their life is over
Without their lost lover
They remain hidden in shadow
Their mind caged in turmoil
Battling themselves until the death
Depression and despair
Are all they seem to know
True love dies so slow
They have lost their internal glow
As if they don’t have a soul
They know nothing of happiness
Or gladness all is replaced with sadness
Their mind is nothing but madness
They think of nothing
All they are is an empty shell
With nothing to lose
But who’s to blame
In this sick twisted game?
Who needs to walk the walk of shame?
Is it them? Is it their lost love?
Or is it just something new?
No one will know
Because they don’t show
Who’s to blame? They blame themselves
And put themselves to shame
But who is to blame for this sick game?
