&quot; The darkest past cannot extinguish the light of the brightest future.&quot;-Me<br /> My own quote is my favorite? So narcissistic.

If life is but a dream-
Does it even matter?
See how real you can make it seem.

An army of doubt sieges the abused walls of your esteem,
But why should you ever listen to doubts dismantling chatter-
If life is but a dream.

In the light, you can see a beautiful existence gleam,
Yet you fear that if you look away- even for a second- it will shatter.
See how real you can make it seem.

Hatch any and every scheme!
Be a parent, a painter, a lover, an actor,
If life is but a dream.

Pick a fantasy, and make it the theme.
It can be your wonderland, and I, your mad hatter.
See how real you can make it seem.

Let your hopes burst and flood the scene.
Lets stop letting fear be a factor.
If life is but a dream,
See how real you can make it seem.

This is a villanelle formatted poem.
Written in response to being told that I must be part of a dream.
