my cell phone

The way i can hear
people talking to me
just through a small speaker,
The way it slides up and back down
to clear the screen,
The way i push a button
and it lights up blue
and makes a beep noise,
The way i can see my reflection
when my screen goes dark,
The way my fingers speed
from button to button
just to send a text message,
The way you can
pull it out and
snap a quick picture,
The way i can check my email
anywhere, anytime.
Everyday i thank god,
for my cell phone!
