Our World

Our world is dying and wasting away.
And yet, we still refuse to help the sick
And still shout at the poor to run far away.

We curse at the world for bathing in decay
blaming the government for things we can fix.
Our world is dying and wasting away.

Those with power look upon the little in dismay.
They smirk and smile at whom they can trick
And still shout at the poor to run far away.

Young children, on the ground, with illness lay
and people scream at who they can afflik.
Our world is dying and wasting away.

This misery and turmoil isn’t okay
We ignore the clock; it’s tick
And still shout at the poor to run far away.

Happiness and peace in this world I pray.
That we leave here spiff and slick.
Our world is dying and wasting away
And still we shout at the poor to run far away.
