A Black and White World
Black and White World
We tend to blink many times in a day.
We all posses’ eyes, but never truly see.
Those blinks combine, life’s message pushed away.
There is no awe to a crisp sunrise in May,
Cool summer nights sipping the usual tea.
We tend to blink many times in one day.
Trees morph their color –fall making its way.
Can’t help to anticipate how cold winter will be.
Those blinks combine, life’s message pushed away.
Hypnotized by timeless ticking clocks
Helplessly hoping minutes die.
New day --but a workday.
We tend to blink many times in one day.
Stars come out at night on the bay.
None are shooting across the black backdrop.
Just unadorned light broadcasted.
Those blinks combine, life’s message pushed away.
A day’s worth of beauty is a week’s waste of pay still
All we see on the flower is the bee.
We tend to blink many times in one day.
Those blinks combine, life’s message pushed away.
