Beautiful Day
Morning listens to the yawns of our heads
While we crawl out of our cozy beds
The sun rises filling the world with hope
As we wash our faces with a fresh bar of soap
The flowers bloom for the small town to view
On Sunday morning where we sit in the pews
The stones glisten on this beautiful day
As we all sit down and quietly pray
The dusk reminds us the day is so short
Everyone calms down and we wrap up our sports
We wash ourselves and head up the stairs
As we simply forget all of today's cares
Night looks down as we drift in our sleep
Laying soft on our pillows and counting sheep
The morning will be here before we know
And we'll have another day to cherish and grow
