I Have a Spring Belly Button

I say to you today my friends, don’t dare run out of steam
So despite all of the troubles we must face as a team
I have a spring belly button for the Plokesberry dream

I have a spring belly button every one of the Floops
Will stick to their ol’ noble words and stop jumping through hoops

I have a spring belly button on fluff hills of Godie
Sitting together are the sons of brodies and lodies

I have a spring belly button way down in the zolches
That freedom and fairness will at last sprout through the molches

I have a spring belly button that the Floop’s little flops
Will not be judged by the color but the strength of their tops

I have a spring belly button today!

I have a spring belly button that despite what we’re told
There’s not one single flop’s hand that a Floop could not hold

I have a spring belly button today!

The author's comments:
For an assignment in school, i had to find an author, analyze their style of writing, and rewrite something of my own as if I were them writing. My idea was to rewrite a portion of the "I Have A Dream" speech in a Dr. Seuss style.
