Alas dear fry for thou have left.
The cruel thief I failed to halt.
Your loss is the world’s heartless theft,
and in you I could find no fault.
Your beautiful ridges, body long,
golden peel, and heavy salt
are reasons enough for my lamentful song.
And in finding myself to be the thief
I take your family with intent to wrong.
I consume your kin to subdue my grief.
