I Know I Should Be Mad
I know I’m not being rational,
But I can’t help but feel overly emotional.
I found no reason for your spite
I found it hard to sleep at night.
I know you think I’m being irrational.
I smiled as I remembered our memories,
All our encounters and countless flatteries.
I looked down and smiled in tears.
I know I should be mad.
And now that everything is clear,
I then knew there was nothing to fear.
For you were still my friend, someone I trust,
Someone I love, nothing more than what’s must.
Seeing you makes me smile from ear to ear.
I know I should be mad.
