A misty hazy day
Through an ominous grey
A large tree stands mangled and crude
Fortified in dark solitude
Earth bare, exposing crimson clay
Standing untouched by a single ray
Branches spread wide then hang
Sharp and menacing deadly fangs
The tree stands, fading and still
A sentinel over a silent hill
