Spring & Winter
A boy with eyes as beautiful as his soul,
Warm, welcoming and the colour of spring,
Had fallen for a girl with a cold dark heart,
Who was the colour of winter, with so much pain within.
This girl was nothing but snow,
So white and pale,
Leaving nothing behind,
But storms, dark clouds and hail.
This boy grew blossoming flowers,
And he shone like the sun,
He grew tall as he trees,
And hoped this girl was the one.
For the boy parted the girls grey clouds,
And had let the warm sun sink in,
Drying up all the snow
And all the pain within.
But now the boy is drained,
Nothing but a small ray of sun that will last only a while,
But that the funny thing about love,
You'd give away your soul, just to see them smile.
