6 million heads shaved,
Thrown into a pile and shown on display.
6 million different tattoos upon their left arms,
Reminders of the distrust and harm.
6 million people in matching clothes,
Stumbling around with cut-up toes.
Memories return where family won’t,
Scars show where memories don’t,
No longer wrongly condemned, now away from them,
The light is no longer dim,
Laying awake in bed at night,
Being thankful for winning against the fight.
