My heart is blind, that so it can love the soul that is too bright for the eyes to see.

Escaped from gallows from shores beyond
Like sparrows and geese we have wandered
Followed the star second t' the right
To a magical land where time is slandered

A kingdom built on children’s dreams
Where mermaids sing and Indians dance
With little lost boys who chirp and howl
And lovely fairies who like to prance

An island borne by beauty alone
The essence of a rose but with hidden thorn
For in the shadows lurk deadly things
So lend a ear to what we forewarn

For those lovely fairies who like to prance
Will eat your flesh and carve your bones
And those lost boys who chirp and howl
Might ambush you with bows and stones

Fear the mermaids who sing to you
Fall not into their surreal lure
For they will drag you down t' the depths
Then let your lifeless body wash ashore

And the Indians who like to dance
Are but prisoners on this little land
The foreshadowing of whom you'll become
A puppeted slave to a single hand

For yes the island is born from dreams
But a dream is powered by its beholder
And on this island there is a child
An immortal boy who's truly much older

Weary the skies for this child can fly
Powered by belief and fairy dust
Born perhaps from a demon’s shadow
Veiled by faux innocence and ersatz trust

He pulls the strings throughout his kingdom
Every happening is his own creation
"All magic comes with a price"
Well his price is your damnation

So come not to the shores of Neverland
Or to escape will be your failed endeavor
For once you belong to Peter Pan
You belong to him forever

Based very loosely off of ABC's Once Upon A Time, this was written from a small breakthrough in my long-term Writer's Block.
