Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

The Beach’s humble shores invite me as an array of dancing colors cascade

across the sky. The Dunes protect themselves from the unpredictable wrath we

strain upon it. The gentle waves push pack and forth hypnotizing me into soft-

spoken serenity.

The ocean dances as the sun’s radiance shimmers, depicting a moment in

which I could just sit back and actually relax. This band of color only magnifies the

already intense moment of perfection.

The echo of the great blue’s humble voice still resides with me. The soothing

sensation of the saline winds whistling is a warm, welcoming feeling. The dolphin

speaking out to me is drowned out by the idiotic oohs and aahs of my classmates.

I wonder what created my sweet spot of peace? I think that only god would

have the audacity to create something this daring and beautiful. What type of human

would try to harm this peaceful oasis?

I forget every problem I’ve ever had as my naive mind takes a break from the

work I should be doing. My heartbeat is slowing to a halt as I know this is the place I

can just be myself. This is my happy place, my calm place of serenity

I did this for language arts and thought it was pretty good.
