Dream of the day I did
Did dandy, jolly, fun things
Did things like a kid
Play and laugh and jump
Dream of the day I cared
I carried colors of the rainbow
I couldn’t be scared
Of anything known
Dream of the day I felt
Felt my eyes twinkle
The tears did not sprinkle
Like raindrops from my eyes
Dream of the day I woke
But now I was scared
I woke and the dream was a nightmare
