ode to my sweater
Grab it off the big red chair
I open it up
Put one arm through
Soft and smooth like babies hands
Put the other arm through,
Now my sweater fully on my needing body
Makes me feel like I’m finally home
After sledding on a cold snowy day
Now I’m in a place of nonexistence
In a way, I’m just alone
Just how I want to be
A time I can be undeniably snug
And know I’m in that place I want to be
This is the kind of sweater
You want to take everywhere
A time you need all the things
That makes you happy
All wrapped in one
