How did you get the nickname Jello?

Something deep within,
Crawling underneath my skin,
Prevents my soul from being free,
And keeps me from being me.

Throughout history,
It has terrorized plenty,
Its wicked thoughts control you,
And keep you from being who?

Who are you?
Why does it control you?
Was it the words of the darkness?
Or the painful blackness?

For me both are the same,
But I, enjoy the pain.
Darkness and Blackness,
Feed the beast.

The beast within me,
Crawling under my skin,
And it may be within you
But don't let it make you askew.

Go before it's too late,
Don't become a creature like me,
One who scares children,
And hides under beds.

Black blood courses through my veins,
Go quick, my child,
Save yourself, please.
Before you become a monster like me.

Never let the darkness control you,
Never let the blackness follow you,
Never let the black blood flow,
And never let the dark beast roam.

The author's comments:
I was thinking last night, about how scary I actually am, and how I remind myself of a monster like a werewolf or Frankenstein, but not the childish ones that we see on Halloween movies, the actual scary ones. And I thought of talking to someone who is almost like me and what I would tell them to prevent them from becoming like me then BOOM, that's how this poem was born, I'm still not pleased with it but I think it's okay ^-^
