I’m from a small town where everyone knows you and you know them.

I’m from a front room with large sunny windows and my worn out Mom reading a picture book to me on a worn out love seat.

I’m from my wood torn up tree house that Pop built for me.

I’m from Mimi’s sugar cookies with colorful sprinkles and icing.

I’m from trying to play with my grumpy old cat but ending up with scratch marks.

I’m from a warm bunk bed perfect for making blanket forts.

I’m from riding bikes and climbing trees.

I’m from a family a family that loves me and will always love me.

This piece means a lot to me. Although it was an assignment for school it is one of my favorite poems i have ever written.
