"The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep." ~Robert Frost

Underneath the linden tree,
She began to sing.
Her hopes, her doubts,
She poured them out
And dreamed of somewhere else.
In that green world,
The leaves, they twirled,
But she yearned for somewhere else.

Underneath the linden tree,
She turned into spring.
Her light, her might,
Turned into flight,
And she left for somewhere else.
In that blooming world,
The flowers unfurled,
But she was somewhere else.

Underneath the linden tree,
She was never seen.
And day by day,
She was away,
Thriving somewhere else.
In that abandoned world,
The leaves, they curled,
For she was somewhere else.
