Fall Leaves
Down,
Around,
Across the town,
Leaves are everywhere.
Somersaulting all over the street,
dancing to the wind’s soft sound,
like children on the playground.
Red,
Brown,
Yellow and Orange,
they all act up my allergies.
In the wind, in the breeze, they all stay in their groups,
and manage to create beautiful art galleries. So I guess that recoups.
Rustling all day,
but with the winter coming,
they start to decay.
In the dismay, they start fading away,
and fear the coming, of Christmas day.
For that marks the time when snow is going to fall,
and the dancing of the leaves,
comes to a stall.
The leaves, have finished their ballet.
Rise from your seat, and begin your applause,
but start to get ready, for the coming of Santa Claus.
