We Used to Love Each Other
We used to love each other,
Snuggle up all day,
Thinking about nothing,
Having endless conversations.
Time came for work,
I would rush home just to see you again.
We grew up,
Broken promises and broken schedules.
As our child was born our relationship die.
We told ourselves we would go out,
I would be dressed and you would be asleep on the couch,
Remote in your hand,
Television glare on your once happy face.
One plate on the broken table you said you would fix.
Our love turned into hate,
Kisses into arguments.
We used to love each other,
But now my bags are packed and yours are not
