I believe we all have stories,
some will never tell
I believe we've all walked through
some form of Hell
I believe in the love of being alone,
yet still hating being lonely
I believe in beauty,
where the world has labeled "ugly."
I believe in happiness,
on the saddest of all days
I believe in heroes,
not always wearing capes
I believe in angels
without any wings
I believe in a Savior, a Father, and all the songs that Christians sing
I believe in losing battles
but still winning the war
I believe in building bridges,
not a wall or door
I believe there's good in the bad and bad in the good, but mainly,
I believe in poetry with music,
friendship with tears,
love, bravery, and fears,
I believe in every season changing,
but the feelings still remaining

The author's comments:
I began writing approximately two years ago, however, not by choice. Poetry is now an outlet, for me, from the at times struggles of daily life. This specific poem was originally written for an assignment in my English class.
