A Letter To My Old Lover
Dear love of mine,
Coffee, dinner and romance,
A walk on the beach to make you mine.
In the beginning it was good,
In the beginning it was fine.
What has happened to us?
We’ve left the romance behind.
Busy, busy, busy your schedule is,
Alone, alone, alone mine has become.
How could I have lost you so quickly?
But to keep me, you haven’t tried some.
Did I give myself too willingly?
Was there something I could’ve done?
My darling I write this letter for answers,
Answers to the questions I’ve yet to ask,
For my fear of losing you has become too great
And these questions can no longer wait.
Allow me some relief and tell me I’m wrong,
Tell me I’ve been blinded by something else,
Because I’m tired of this dance and song
All I’m asking for is my old love to return,
What have you done with him?
Darling, please bring him back,
Then we can be fine
Please,
Your Love
