13 ways to look at love

Love is a river.
Flowing down winding turns,
but never stopping

Patient and kind.
Love never tries to rush or hurt,
but heal and inspire.

Love is hope.
Hope for a new life,
hope for an end.

Like a mountain love stands tall,
strong in battle.
But harmful if not used right.

Love and envy are one.
Love envys freedom,
while freedom seeks for love.

Like a beautiful unwritten song
love waits to be told.
It waits to be sang
in its glory.

Love is like a rocketship.
Launching into the unknown,
Falling among the stars.

Love is a battlefield,
digging in the trenches
awaiting the next shot.

Undefined by Sherlock Holmes
love is a mystery.

Like a toddler love is always growing,
preparing itself for its next fall.

Love is like a stocking.
Stuffed full of the unknown,
waiting to be torn open.

Unturned by explorers
love sits under a rock
on the muddy shores
of the new world.

Love is a pencil
writing frantically,
trying to define the unknown.
