Ode To Maple

Strong
Tall
and
Brown;
The maple tree stands.
Through weathering and erosion sturdy you stay.
The sap that leaks from your branches, how bright like the stars of the night.
This sticky sweet substance that excretes you, Creates the perfect addition for the pancakes I like.
Without you my pancakes are lifeless;
No flavor nor love.
But with a drizzle of your goodness,
Elated my mood shall become.
