I'm Fine

"I'm fine."
She smiles happily.
The joy, her face
Revealing how she feels
Or wants to feel.
On the inside, weeping.
She screams desperation--
Pain... intensifying sensation
Her mind lost
Shattered. Gone.
Outside
She's composed.
They ask if she's okay.
"I'm fine," I say.
