Is there something behind that smile of hers?
What is it that she's hiding?
Why does she push away all that love her?
What is it that makes her cry?
Why does she need to cut?

She was just a little girl when he touched her.
He burned her in the shower and slammed her against the bed.
And once it seemed like he tried to drown her.
Bruises up and down her back.
Blocked from her conscious mind, but something she will never forget.

She spent a few years going home to home.
Always feeling unwanted and alone.
Then when she was seven a rich lady wanted to adopt her.
She loved that home but she wanted her daddy more.

Everything wasn't like she dreamed.
She was beaten by her father.
And for awhile she believed that was his way to say I love you.
Going to school with bruises not wanting to sit down cause of the pain.
Making up story's to keep him out of trouble.

Lying became something natural she believed she had to lie about everything.
She moved in with her mom when she was even and at first everything was fun.
Then the girl did things just like before.
She stole she lied to her mom.
Getting her so mad but she would never hit her.
She learned what love really was and it was something she wanted desperetly and she would do anything to get it.

But then she moved again.
A new home a new place trying to make new friends,
But instead she falls in love.
He see's her smile and knows its fake.
He looked in her eyes and saw all the tears.
He gave her a chance and she messed it all up since it began.

Everyone told her she didn't know what love was.
And that she couldn't love anyone until she loved herself.
But how could she love herself when everyone else brought her down.
Giving her reasons to hate herself.

She felt like she ruined everything.
So she dicided to end things with the boy she thought she loved.
Since everyone told her she was lying to him when she said " I love you".
The day it ended was the sadest day of her life.

The days they spent apart made her want to die.
No one understood the pain she felt.
No one understood except him.
All she wanted was a second chance with him.
That's when she relized she truley did love him.
She wanted no one but him.

He was the reason she chose to stay alive.
He was the reason behind her smile.
But now he's the reason why she crys.
Because she lost him she wants to die.
