green eyes and blood
I drew a girl in ink today,
I drew her but I hid her face,
Behind a pair of paint stained hands,
Held up,
To cover eyes that no one knows,
Save for me,
Were green, the color of the sea,
No one else, except for me,
Saw the tears,
The color of crystals
That ran down her cheeks,
Hidden behind hands, stained red,
No one else noticed, but me,
Of course, only me,
The artist, could see
Slashed wrists,
Attached to bloodstained hands,
Held up to shield those sea green eyes.
