Do You Know What It's Like?
What is it like to not have money?
What is it like to be rich?
What is it like to be sad?
What is it like to be happy?
To be happy you have to be rich.
No.
To be sad you have to be poor.
No.
I once met a man.
He was as rich as a lemon meringue pie.
He cried all the time.
He missed his wife.
He was a rich, sad man.
I once met a woman.
She was lonely with three kids.
She was poor,
but she had all three things
right by her side to be happy.
She was a poor, happy lady.
Once this man saw a woman.
She was walking down the street,
with three happy children.
They walked.
They laughed.
He sat.
He watched.
There was once a man who met a woman.
There was once a rich man,
who met a poor woman.
There was once a rich sad man,
Who fell in love with a poor woman.
You see now?
You don't have to be rich
to be happy.
You don't have to be poor
to be sad.
He married that lady.
Her kids became his kids, too.
They didn't live in a mansion.
They didn't live on the streets.
Money is just paper
people carry around.
Rich and poor are just labels
people give.
Happy and sad are just emotions
people have.
Now do you want to know
what it's like?
To be poor?
Or to be rich?
To feel happy?
Or feel sad?
They are all describing words.
Just move forward.
Forget the labels people give.
Just
Be
You.
