she sang secrets in song,
sounding sad and surprised to see
someone so selfless, he saw
stars shine when she smiled,
so she sang slightly stronger
as she spoke via song,
signaling her sir of soft somethings
she saved for starry skies
and she showed him sweet
somethings in the sound of
her smile, her song
was his shadow, stalwart and steady,
he spoke secrets supplied
for the sake of her smile
and they sang softly
the song of, "stay."
