Maybe it was his Smile
There is an empty room
At the end of the hall
Bed still unmade
While dust has not yet settled
Something does linger
Behind
It is the memories
Of you
The deep conversations
As we comforted each other
Our movie nights
And the way you
Never made pancakes
In standard shapes
But instead
As my initials
You're off in Florida now
At some bright beach
And I hope the sun is shining
On you
Because you always
Made my heart warm
And lit up
My day
