These scores
On flesh
Tell broken things

They speak
Of blade
The pain it brings

Laments
The loss
Of whole fresh skin

The breaks
Bleed out
The pain within.

The pain
Wells out
With scarlet drops

It beads
And runs
And finally stops

It's wiped
Away
Fresh scores to heal

The raw
Pink flesh
You love to feel

Some days
Soon pass
And tears do close

The fine
White lines
Behind are those

These scores
They scream
Of cries for peace

These scores
They tell
Of pain released.
