Were waiting
Merely dying
Each breath closes a chapter
A chapter to us
A page never to be read
Never to be taken for anything but what was said
No reading in between the lines
You tell me time after time
I still don’t believe I was wrong
Forgiving my doubts I press on
With life comes beauty
Still that reigns true
but not when it comes down to me and you
Your wishes are granted
But at the end of the day
you sit and watch your life fade away
