My Sister's Battle
My Sister’s Battle
It begs at her every morning…
And begs at her through the night too.
She understands what it demands,
While others don’t have a clue
I have a clue - -
It pleads with her
As much as it pleads with me,
Holding us back
It has its capabilities
The power to flip
Our strengths
To weaknesses
She gives all her best
Yet it
s t r a i n s
her for more
The desire to perfect rears its ugly horns
Sometimes it hurts to anticipate
A
Fall
It’s alright she doesn’t know how
To avoid the obstacle
We have here now,
There’s comfort in knowing
She feels this way too
Because I constantly see her find her way through.
