Why Can't I find Happiness?
I see the sands of time congeal,
they make me want to take and steal
The last of happy memories sealed
In vaults of lovers' past.
"If they're so happy, then why not I?"
I ask, as my hands now cup at the sky
To catch the grace that falleth by,
But no such luck I receive.
I run through the endless falling rain,
But never cease to feel the pain,
That not one drop of crying rain
Has cleansed my dirty clothes.
This isolation that haunts me inside;
Brings only disparage into my mind.
And makes me wish for a simpler time
Before my soul had left.
