We make a living by what we make, but we make a life by what we give

Death rules over all who fall
Within the clutches
This desk
That wall
The stupid boy who falls
Beneath the stacks
Between the cracks
In the hole
Knee deep, mouth full
Who keeps tearing families apart
Who rips children's hearts
And takes their names to the grave
Be afraid
I own your life
Do as i say
I'll give you light
Perfection is too innocent
Death is an deficit
Love equals hatred
Why don't you look at your reflection
Look at which direction
Where do you go?
Do you even know?
Damnation always shows

Everything about this is so true. I though it was somewhat amuzsing at first, until you started to convey the deep sadness and emotion of the whole poem. I like the rhymes. And the rhetorical questions add originality to the whole piece as well. My favorite lines are the following: "Perfection is too innocent/ Death is an deficit (I think it should be "a" not "an")/ Love equals hatred". Poignant lines.
