Your rough and hardheaded,
That much I can say,
You may yell and bicker,
And complain about pay.

But you work long hours at your job,
Just to get that pay,
And even when your sick and tired,
You try to work each day,

Leading us on the right path,
You may try and push us,
But daddy we are young,
Don't want to grow up to fast.

The one thing that I know is,
Truly you and ma don't want to see us go,
So your scared,
To let your little girls and son grow.

But you can let go now mommy and daddy,
Oh I think we can do it on our own,
I know it'll be a little bit scary,
But I want you to know we'll be okay mommy and daddy.

To what god has given you,
The treasure of your life,
A son and daughters,
And a very special wife.

And it's killing me,
To see the strongest man I knew,
Laying on that bed,
In this hospital bedroom,

But I know you'll get up and stand,
Because I know you are strong,
And I know no matter what,
Nothing else will go wrong.

Something's may be unfair,
But deep down,
I know how much you truly care.

Our family may not be perfect,
And we may not always make you proud,
But honestly I am glad,
That I get to call you my dad.
