Ode to lust

Your heartstrings tighten
And the stars continue to flutter in the outreaches
Of a hollowed mind that screams
For lust of entwined tongues and frivolous heat.

Even God himself could not condemn these sins
To etch into skeletons that
Tangle and knot and shatter together
A clash of worlds of hunger
Sorrowful cried reach forbidden places forevermore and nevermore

A sex of morphine and wit and
Love once lost that lure your bird-foot lunacy
There's a music in your ear of moans and keens
From lips of kin not of blood
But emotions that drown the deadly night shade
From sockets untouched

She mocks your heart that spews lies and slanders
of "I love you"s
That entwine your lips in a cursed tie that
Chokes the stars within

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between lust and love. Sometimes the decision can choke us.
