Frabjous is the life of a child
Their youthful vigor, the center of envy from those with ages wild
One can scarcely ponder the way they traverse over the outline of the meadow that is the humble crick
That they take such meticulous care of the adventure in their consciousness with ever restless mentality
“In the eye of the beholder,” most would say, is how they’re understood and just how they tick
Great whiles it seems that they’re enveloped by either of the blue
Both weightless as their worriment becomes ever less thick
They sway to and fro from the realm of the meek and tender, into a universe both intriguing and new
But to so much as sway would make such transitions a stumbling into adventure with abundant frugality
Nay is this often the case for a voyage of such avid vitality
Evermore omnipotent is the youth within this world that they alone view
Yet the doppelganger of such a fantasy lies in inevitable wait to pull it’s trick
The trick that takes possession and disposes of the obscurity blanketing reality
Until such times reach the active mind of the youth, they remain out in their kingdom lacking actuality
Until their shoes are slipped off by the guardian that cares for their weary child
By the end of the day’s endeavors, the kingdoms like the youthful soul, take a rest for it is they that flew.

Just so recently my Creative Writing Teacher asked that we write a poem with its main point being a journey. At first I had no idea how to start it out, let alone what kind of journey to write about. It was then I thought of free-minded and imaginative most of us were at a significantly lower age. Each step out of the door was the base of a snowy white mountain to be scaled, or the gates of a dragon's castle to be stormed. Nothing else could quite measure up to such original and seemingly careless milling about with no-one else who understood it's meaning, aside from you and your posse of friends. (If that is you had a posse of friends.) The mind of a child itself, while only comprehensible for that part of one's life, is one of the greatest journeys just waiting to begin.
