Violet Lattice
Isolation in the night
Feigning strength from unknown fright
Consumed in this void is the world
One final ball, I danced and twirled
The day has gone, and so shall I
On written paper, my last goodbye
Ultimate laughs I could never share
Slashed and stained, a crimson tear
From my sight my loneliness weap
Just as well my heart does seep
Stagnant tides course through my face
Crystalline air escapes without a trace
Tighter, tighter its grip grows
As my body already froze
Fading away into the night
All shadows fleeing from the light
I lie awake until the end
And lie and wait until the end
