Light After the Storm
With the wind blowing and the rain falling
The storm was slowly passing almost crawling
Moving and creeping; keeping the children from sleeping
Bringing fright at night to those with little insight
Causing boats to turn and toss in the ripple covered bay
the waters rising to the crest of protective walls
Invading peoples homes and lives without purpose or cause
The storm recked havoc; but then disappeared almost has fast as it arrived
But when the storm passes in the morning and the rainbows come out
All the fright from the night disappears
Allowing us to enjoy the sun and world for years and years
