Nerves shaking,
Breath quickening,
My heart is like a drum
I try to think of something else;
It doesn't seem to work

The time is almost here
And my turn draws near

I've practiced
I've worked
I've sweated
I've cried
No one can say
"You haven't tried"

Just a couple more minutes and its my turn
To show what I have learned
I salute to the judges
And jump on the bar
Kip cast
Jump to the high bar
And before I know it
I'm saluting again
