Kids waiting for Santa
Sleeping with one eye open
Waiting to unwrap the gifts under the tree

A time to love one another
A time to rejoice on one’s life
A time to enjoy ones presence

Kids forgetting the meaning
The meaning of giving over
The meaning of receiving

Throwing gifts away as if the mean nothing
Crying because the gift is not what the child wanted
Forgetting how to appreciate presents
Forgetting the true meaning to celebrate

Presents are no longer little that show the meaning to giving
Laptops, phones, and video games
Have become what is expected
Little gifts like cards and candy do not meet the requirements

Christmas is more like a competition
Competition between who gets more
Sentimental gifts are not the type kid’s desire
Kids are materialistic; love and health will not suffice anymore

The greedy hearts will tear families who cannot afford these gifts
Parents begin to think lowly of themselves
They cannot provide for their kids selfish needs

Christmas used to be a time for family and friends
Not a time for selfish thoughts
