Never again shall I let the dust of defeat be thrown in my face
Never again will I let my self-esteem evaporate without a trace
Even if I'm nothing more than an uncouth nerd
I still have a voice that demands to be heard

My words might not be ones that everyone wants to hear
It might give them anguish, fury, or fear
But I'm wise enough to know that they don't matter
Any glass ceiling above me I will shatter

The road to success ahead of me looms far and grand
But I think it's a road that I will be able to stand
You can choose to take it, but you can also choose no
But don't blame the world when you made your choice not to go

If you don't like your life, change it until it's improved
Because misery is something that can always be removed

I was inspired to write this poem while thinking about the mountain to success. It's a steep climb, but it's not an unfeasible feat.
