I meant to…
Life is filled with regrets
It’s full of I meant to’s
That we should have let go of
I meant to get good grades
I meant to stay positive on bad days
I meant to work harder
I meant to show that I'm great
I meant to look forward instead of back
I meant to let go of the past
I meant to be grateful for what I had
I meant to accomplish all my goals
But I didn’t so it’s time to stop looking back
And do those things now so I don’t say
I meant to stop saying I meant to
I meant to start saying “I did”
