Everyone Believes They're Right
Everyone believes they’re right -
Impose it upon people and instigate.
I won’t tolerate it, I’m prepared to fight.
Why form war and strife? Why discriminate?
Face East or face West, I don’t care.
Bear the Star of David or a Rosary;
Love your choices, go declare,
But don’t come to me for a Hail Mary.
Christians attempt purity, they don’t swear.
The Rastafarians worship Ethiopia, smoke some pot.
Don’t pity me; I don’t need prayer.
Religions should be rethought.
Dinosaurs weren’t here -
Fossils are put here to test one’s convictions.
This “explanation” seems damn bizarre.
That’s the aim, and that’s the affliction.
Church, Mosque, Synagogue, Temple or Shrine –
Attesting to the world they’re right and divine.
Absurd the effort put into it,
Why not stop the struggling? Just quit.
