poems about life

Life begins a new
But at what cost comes such joy
Who is to say why?

There is beauty in all
Things, from the tiniest ant
To great tall mountains

What if life was death
And death life, can we have
Love peace war and hate

Humans
We stand tall and proud
But pride may end us all
We must learn humility
And to not scoff at death
We must think with our minds
And not with our guns
Or we are doomed to repeat history

Pain teaches us humility
Humility teaches us wisdom
Wisdom is the key to the future
And the future is a brighter place

We hide behind facades
To cover up blemishes
Because we feel imperfect
And although we may be
We should not be afraid
Afraid to be ourselves
And learn to accept and love
So that we may feel compassion
Compassion for all life
And not for just our own
