Gone.
Someone I’ve known all my life,
has disappeared in just one night.
In an instant,
all our memories seem so distant.
Fear, anger, desperation,
such a horrible sensation.
It all happened so fast,
what was just now, is already the past.
Shocked and in utter disbelief,
struck with unfathomable grief.
My family, instead of happy and cheerful,
are bleak and less hopeful.
Processing this, is harder than one can imagine.
Someone I love has gone too soon,
They will never see what I plan to do.
This was not the plan,
not what we had thought.
Return to normalcy?
I guess we will just have to see,
normal isn’t what it use to be.
