You were my best friend
Having cookouts together
Going shopping together
In my fifteenth year.

Until the day
Your anger built up
Stress got in the way
You ended your own life
In my fifteenth year.

Leaving your children,
Family and friends behind
You pulled the trigger
In my fifteenth year.

Your beautiful eyes
And your gorgeous smile
It felt like a nightmare
Hearing the news
In my fifteenth year.

Unbearable to see you
Lie dead with the
Bullet wound but
A smile on your face
In my fifteenth year.

You made everybody smile
Filled us with laughter
But with your careless act
Filled us with sorrow
In my fifteenth year.

Everything about you was perfect
You were there for anyone
That was in need but
Best of all, always there for me
In my fifteenth year.

You taught me how to be myself
Not to care what others think
And we were always there for each other
In my fifteenth year.

But I know you are still beautiful
And always will be
I love you so much
Forever and always
But now you are gone
In my fifteenth year.

This is a poem I had to write for my English class. It is one of my first poems and everyone thinks it is good. So here it is....I wrote it about my cousin/friend who committed suicide last year.
