Desperation
In a world where everything is on fire,
And things have become so dire,
We reach a point of quiet restraint,
And in this silence there is a bigger picture to paint.
Where everyone must realize,
That in death, life is our prize.
To do greater things, we must aspire,
For that is the one true desire,
Of the people who chose to sing.
Over those who jump into that icy ring.
Hell has frozen into stone,
We cannot repair what the reaper has sown.
For those of us who choose to sing,
Here the bells, as they give their final ring,
The world has broken into desperation and hate,
Will you meet me at heaven's gate?
Will you listen to the angels lyre,
And sing with me as we watching the last of that dying fire?
